SO VERY GLAD THAT YOU ARE HERE !! Embrace Southern States cordially invites YOU to come on in, pull up a chair, and spend some quality time getting to know us. By “us”, I mean the 13 southeastern states. Since the USA is so big, I will focus on the section that is nearest and dearest to my heart… the South.
The South is defined differently by everyone you ask. It ranges from as few as four states to as many as nineteen. Good grief!
I pondered all the variations and puzzled over definitions of “Old South”, “New South”, “Dixie”, “Bible Belt”, and “Cotton Belt”. For Embrace Southern States we will include these 13 southeastern states; Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
YOU and I will look at the positive aspects and not get into any unpleasantries. We will delve into the beautiful and the best, the fancy and the frugal, the heartfelt and the hilarious, the quaint and the quirky.
My name is Angela and I will be YOUR friendly guide on this wonderful adventure. I have lived in several of these states and currently reside in Florida. I am a travel and content writer.
