Well, darlin’, sure YOU do! It ranks right up there with puppies and chocolate and s…. uh…and such! This INTRO BLOG is my way of giving YOU a big old hug so hard it might just crack your spine. That’s the way we are down here; welcoming, warm, and wonderful! I’m a big hugger and so is the South.
My name is Angela and I am a mature Southern lady. How mature, you ask? Well, if I were to chase after Mark Wahlberg or Scott Caan…folks would call me a cougar! I am friendly, funny, feisty, and currently enjoy living in Florida. I grew up in Mississippi and have lived in several other states…all in the South…thank goodness.
I wrote and scheduled radio commercials before getting a Master’s degree in Psychology. Then I served the best interests of clients who needed counseling. I love asking questions and am pretty dang good at it. Anyway, I got on disability after arthritis damaged my poor knees. Then, dang y’all, I decided to combine four of my favorite hobbies (travel, interviewing, photography, and writing) and now I call myself a freelance travel writer and content writer. Yes, I am willing to write some great content for you, if you wish to negotiate.
Embrace Southern States is me inviting you to come learn about the South. Even if you already live here, I guarantee you can still discover new things to love about it. I will be posting pictures, interviews, book reviews, recipes, and more. I’ll share info on how you can find those people and places…and how you can plan your own exciting adventures…and then you can PLEASE SHARE them with me!
I call my Blog “Dang, y’all” and pretty soon you’ll understand why. I will be dishing out the details of how to jump in there joyfully and grab all the greatness! That’s why I like to say, “The South IS excitement, excellence, and exuberance”. So, get to thinking of me as your newest and most outrageous travel friend. We are in for one heck of a good time!
