Memories are precious and evoke deep emotions. The widest variety of things can call to mind a memory. While some can be sad, I choose to SHARE and focus on the good!
If I ask you about your favorite movie, you might be able to recall and SHARE amazing details about what year you saw it, who you were with, and how it made you feel. If I ask about your favorite football team, you might go on about the first time you saw them in person or how you celebrated their last big win.
So HERE is a little mental memory magic for you. I’m about to take just five Southern States and list just seven Towns from each one. I want YOU to ponder each one individually. Have you ever been there? Did you experience any special and spectacular events there?
Swirl it around in your brain. Allow all sorts of memories to swim around until a couple of your favorites float to the top and start waving at you. Now, can you pick just ONE amazing memory to SHARE? (Pretty please!!) Dang, y’all…this will be SO fascinating!!!
To how many of these places have you been? (Let me brag for just one moment, I’ve been to ALL of them & will SHARE many of those memories over the next year.) Which ones brought back your most immediate and vivid memories?

Dang, y’all, let’s share those marvelous memories and sweet Southern sentiments!
Ok, I am going with Atlanta. This is where we lived for a few gears and where I had the best few years. I had my daughter there and that was the greatest gift for me. I went to school there to get my degree. So all in all I love that area always plenty to do and always bustling. There are so many memories there. But those are my top two.
Atlanta! Yes, a bustling city indeed. Thanks for sharing such special memories.
I am going with Apalachicola! ❤ My Grandfather used to be a volunteer for the Seafood Festival every year. I used to look forward to going for weeks before the actual event. I loved the food, the atmosphere, the rides…everything. It has been a few years since I’ve gone to the festival. I think this year I will be going!
Apalachicola! I bet the Seafood Festival is awesome and I’m so glad you have nice memories of time with your grandfather.
I’m going with Pensacola. My dad lived there for a few years. Just takes me back to spending time with him and the beautiful white sand beaches.
Pensacola! Yes those beaches are nice and a great memory for you.
One of the most important places in my southern tenure was Mobile. It has so many places and things to visit. It’s also where a Grand Southern Belle hooked my heart while we were attending the Bellingrath Gardens on our second date. Some day will be revisiting the Gardens for that precious memory that is in a corner of my heart.
Mobile! Very nice place! Hope you get to revisit the Gardens. Such a sweet memory for you.
Of course my choice is Murfreesboro, TN. I lived there eight great years and got married there. You sang at my wedding! My parents are buried there. I consider it my hometown.
Murfreesboro! Such special memories! Thanks for reminding me of that happy event!
